As proud members of the Colorado Springs, Colorado, community, we know that the little ones in your family mean the world to you. Watching them grow up is a true joy (though not without challenges), as you help them learn and develop in your home and neighborhood.
With this is mind, the Colorado Springs car accident injury attorneys at Sears & Associates, P.C. want to help you keep your youngsters safe and sound when in your car, van, SUV, or truck. A recent recall of seat buckles in a popular child’s car seat is something we feel you as a parent need to know about.
My719Moms.com recently posted an article detailing the recall by Evenflo. Evenflo has recalled its child seat buckles, stating that there is a defect with the product that may make the buckle become stuck in the latched position. This can make it extremely difficult to remove your child from this seat.
While no injuries have been reported, they are possible. The defect creates a potential hazard for your child in the event of an emergency.
The Evenflo child seat buckle recall includes 1.3 million safety seat buckles used in a number of children’s convertible and booster seat models manufactured between 2011 and 2014. This includes the following Evenflo models:
- Momentum
- Chase
- Maestro
- Symphony
- Snugli
- Titan
- SureRide
- SecureKid
The affected seats have model numbers with the prefixes of 306, 308, 329, 345, 346, 371, and 385.
Please check your child’s safety seat to ensure that it is not one of the affected products. If it is, or if you have any questions or concerns, contact Evenflo at (800) 490-7591, or visit buckle.evenflo.com.
