Support Colorado Springs WALK like MADD on May 17

May 9, 2014 by Lance M. Sears

In the early morning of Aug. 26, 2011, Elijah Gonzales, a passenger to a drunk driver—his friend and roommate—was severely injured in car accident. He died from his injuries later that day at the age of just 25. Elijah, who called Colorado Springs home, was just beginning his life when a drunk driver, his friend, took it away because of poor decisions involving alcohol.

It is because of Elijah and other victims in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region that the car accident injury and wrongful death attorneys at Sears & Associates, P.C. encourage you to participate in the Colorado Springs WALK like MADD event on May 17.

WALK like MADD | Colorado Springs, CO Car Accident Injury Attorney | Sears & Associates, P.C

WALK like MADD is the Mothers Against Drunk Driving organization’s signature walking event, helping to raise both awareness and funds to stop drunk driving and underage drinking, as well as to provide support for victims and survivors.

Last year, over 60 cities across the U.S. participated in 5K events to celebrate creating a brighter future without drunk driving and underage drinking.

You can participate in the Colorado Springs event by joining a team or donating to the cause.

You can also sign up to volunteer at the event if you are older than 14 and want to make the Colorado Springs WALK like MADD event a success!

From all of the car accident injury attorneys at Sears & Associates, P.C. in Colorado Springs, please support our local WALK like MADD event and help prevent losses like Elijah.

Opening ceremonies for the May 17 event begin at 10 a.m. at Bear Creek Park; we hope to see you there!
